A pre-owned VHS copy of Gorgo (1961), part of the "Dinosaurs, Dragons & Monsters" collector series. This is the 1993 re-release distributed by Video Communications Inc., released under licence from MGM / King Brothers Ltd. ISBN: 1-55379-117-3.
About the film: A volcanic eruption in the North Atlantic brings to the surface a 65-foot prehistoric monster. Two treasure divers capture the creature and take it to London, where it is put on display in a circus. A scientist warns that the creature is only an infant — and that a full-grown specimen would be over 200 feet tall. Sure enough, Papa Gorgo comes thundering ashore to reclaim his offspring, trashing a generous portion of London in the process. Rated ★★★ by Leonard Maltin: “Good Sci-fi story…Exciting special effects.”
