The Hitachi VM-S83E is a compact S-VHS-C format video camcorder from Hitachi’s VM-S series. It records to VHS-C cassettes in S-VHS-C quality, offering superior picture resolution compared to standard VHS-C. The VM-S83E features Pro Auto Exposure, a built-in zoom lens, a large eyepiece viewfinder, and a top-mounted accessory shoe. It uses a 9.6V Ni-Cd battery pack and is compatible with the Hitachi VM-BP61 battery (included). A great piece of vintage video equipment for collectors, filmmakers, or lo-fi/retro video enthusiasts.
