Condition: Used – Vintage item, 1939. Please refer to all photos before purchasing. Condition is as shown in images.

A wonderful example of the iconic Singer 66K hand crank sewing machine, dating from 1939 (serial number EC340474). The Singer 66 is one of the most celebrated and collectible sewing machines ever made, renowned for its robust construction, beautiful decal work, and the fact that many examples from this era are still fully functional today. This machine comes complete with its original wooden carrying case and a tin of attachments.

What's included:

  • Singer 66K hand crank sewing machine
  • Original wooden carrying case
  • Tin of sewing attachments

Condition notes:

  • Pre-owned vintage item — generally a clean example for its age
  • The hand crank is slightly stiff — this is common with machines that have not been used for some time and often resolves with oiling and use
  • The case lock key is missing — the lock can be operated with a small flat-head screwdriver
  • A crack is present on the wooden case around the back
  • The wooden housing shows the most wear, as expected for a case of this age
  • General wear and age-related marks to the machine body; metal and paint finish show natural ageing consistent with an 85+ year old item
  • Please examine all photographs carefully as they form part of the item description
  • Note: the lid of the case is not attached — it will need to be reattached before use

About the Singer 66K:

The Singer 66 was produced from 1902 through to the 1950s and became one of the most popular domestic sewing machines in the world. The 66K denotes manufacture at Singer's Kilbowie factory in Clydebank, Scotland. These machines are prized by collectors and vintage sewing enthusiasts for their durability, beautiful Egyptian-inspired decals, and the fact that they can often be restored to full working order with minimal effort.

Ideal for vintage sewing enthusiasts, collectors, restoration projects, or as a decorative display piece.
