The Sony Trinitron range is one of the most celebrated CRT television lines ever produced, renowned for its exceptional picture quality and build. This unit is faulty but retains considerable value for experienced repairers, retro gaming enthusiasts, and prop buyers.

The 3-flash red standby light cycle is a recognised Sony Trinitron fault code, typically indicating a power supply or deflection circuit issue – a known and repairable fault for those experienced with CRT electronics.

Will not turn on / no picture
Gets power – audible sound on power-up and red standby light illuminates
Red standby light flashes 3 times in a repeating cycle – a known Sony fault code
