Vintage Carrier Bags Set of 4 - Morrisons, Argos, Sainsbury's, Plymco - 1990s/2000s - Prop / Collector - Used

A set of four vintage British supermarket and retail carrier bags from the 1990s and early 2000s — ideal for film and TV props, theatrical productions, photography, display, or collectors of British retail and advertising ephemera. Each bag features period-accurate branding and slogans, making them excellent datable props for productions set in that era. Sold as a set of four.

Bags included (photo-verified):

• Morrisons — white vest-style carrier bag featuring the pre-2007 old-style Morrisons logo (yellow “M” on black square); slogan “More reasons to shop at Morrisons”; Tidy Britain Group logo at base. Dates to the pre-rebrand Morrisons era.

• Argos — large white flat-bottomed bag with die-cut carry handle; red cursive “Argos” logo with silver graphic; slogan “Argos Takes Care of It” — a slogan used in the mid-to-late 1990s; made from Reprothene recycled plastic (SA Group). A larger format bag than the others.

• Sainsbury’s — white vest-style carrier bag; orange Sainsbury’s wordmark; blue “making life taste better” slogan — used c.1999–2004; sainsburys.co.uk URL printed at base. Please note: this bag is torn — a significant tear/split is visible at the top shoulder/handle area, as shown clearly in the close-up photo. Print is fully intact but the bag is not structurally sound.

• Plymco — white vest-style carrier bag; red triangle logo with bold “PLYMCO” wordmark; green bar detail; slogan “Your First Choice Store”; www.plymco.co.uk URL printed. Plymco was a Plymouth-based Co-operative Society that merged into Midcounties Co-operative in the early 2000s — this is a pre-2003 bag and a genuinely rare regional Co-op collectible. In the best condition of the four bags.

• Morrisons: general crumpling and creasing; print fully intact and vivid; no visible tears
• Argos: heavily creased from storage; print fully intact; no visible tears
• Plymco: best condition of the four — relatively flat, print very clear, minimal creasing; no visible tears
• Sainsbury’s: torn — significant tear/split at top shoulder/handle area (see close-up photo); print intact but bag is not structurally functional
• All bags show surface dust and minor soiling consistent with age and storage
