A charming vintage sewing box or work table in the Arts & Crafts or Art Deco style, constructed in oak with veneered surfaces. Compact and characterful, this type of piece was a staple of British domestic interiors from the 1920s through to the 1940s – designed to hold sewing notions, threads, and needlework within easy reach. With some restoration attention to the veneer and varnish, this could be a beautiful and functional piece once again.
Condition Notes
- Varnish on the top surface is wearing away
- Veneer on the top is splitting and lifting in areas
- Veneer on the right side is warped and appears wavy
- Would make an excellent restoration project
