A charming vintage 1950s Lloyd Loom style woven paper fibre laundry basket / linen hamper in pink. The classic tight woven fibre construction with braided rope trim to the lid edge and corners is characteristic of mid-century British bathroom and bedroom furniture of this type. Sits on small ball feet. A versatile piece that works equally well as a functional laundry basket, bedroom storage, or as a period interior styling or film/TV prop.

Colour history (photo-verified): The basket was originally green — the interior retains its original green paint/colour throughout, and green paint is clearly visible beneath the pink on the lid edge and corners where the paint has chipped. The exterior has been subsequently repainted pink. This two-tone paint history adds to the character of the piece.
