Used / Pre-owned — vintage working condition with known faults as detailed below. Condition is as shown in images — please refer to all photos before purchasing.

A Sanyo DXT-5502L all-in-one hi-fi music centre from the 1970s/early 1980s, in the classic period format combining a belt-drive auto-return turntable, built-in cassette deck with Dolby noise reduction and dual VU meters, and an FM/AM stereo tuner — all housed in a warm walnut/teak wood-effect vinyl wrap cabinet with brushed aluminium trim strips and a finned amplifier heat sink. A characterful piece of vintage hi-fi engineering that plays records and receives radio in its current state.

What’s included (photo-verified):

• Sanyo DXT-5502L music centre unit
• Original MG-28 cartridge with ST-28D stylus fitted
• Brand new black felt slip mat (fitted, as pictured)
• Original UK mains power cable and plug (see safety note below)

What is NOT included: speakers (four speaker output connectors present on rear — System A and System B, Left/Right — using period Sanyo proprietary push-pin connectors), no remote, no aerial cables.

Known condition issues (photo-verified):

• Cassette deck partially faulty — most transport buttons do not respond; record function works. Likely dried/seized push-button mechanism, a common fault on units of this age
• Dust cover cracked — a diagonal crack runs across the top surface of the clear acrylic dust cover; hinge mechanism is present and intact
• General age wear — scratches, marks, and dust in areas consistent with vintage use; wood-effect vinyl wrap shows age patina

⚠️ Safety note: The original mains plug is heavily aged with significantly tarnished/oxidised pins. We recommend the plug and mains cable are inspected by a qualified electrician before use.
